Throw Away This Telepathe

Brooklyn duo, Telepathe, recently released a new song titled “Throw Away This”, sounding like some sponged & oiled siamese twins commanding an ode to Debbie Deb. Definitely more poppy than their 2008 album “Dance Mother”. But they keep it respectable. So put. dat. gun. down. & download “Throw Away This” here.

I discovered Love Inks, because of their cover of David Essex’ Rock On. However, little did I know that this band, comprised of members: Adam, Kevin, Beth and Sherry, had been incubating like an awaited abortion clinging to the right wing of my cranny, here in Austin, Texas. Imagine that! But how they gonna come up in MY house, make good music without ME knowing? How you gonna lay honey all up on my pussy and I don’t find out till I see some bees buzzing out and honey comb dripping down on the floor?

Ok, Maury, I’ll keep dat baby, and the honey, too, because Love Inks has a sound similar to the cheerful, minimal pop of Class Actress, oh, yes, a sound that makes my precious snack all the more salty. Put that wire hanger down, and give Black Eye a download. Grab their full length album E.S.P. on iTunes. Catch them on tour in Marfa, TX todaaay, the rest of their tour dates are here.

Hurting Friendly Fires
Brand New Track from Friendly Fires! ‘Pala’ is the sophomore album from British band, Friendly Fires. Their new album will be released on May 16th, 2011 via XL Recordings. The album was produced by Paul Epworth, an award-winning British music producer, who has reccently produced LP’s for Adele, Cee-Lo Green, Florence and the Machine, & Bloc Party.  The first single lifted off the album, “Live Those Days Tonight” was released at the end of March, following a very dancey stint at SXSW 2011. The featured track above is entitled, “Hurting” and features the Harlem Gospel Choir. Throughout the new LP, Friendly Fires manages to hold on to their very distinctive celebratory sound, while dabbing into experimental bars, and riffs. MP3: “Hurting”
